The last few weeks have been interesting to say the least. To my absolute shock, Beautiful Disaster debuted on the New York Times best seller list at #29, the next week at #28, and this week jumping six spots to #22. This is remarkable, not only because BD was written for fun and published on a whim, but also because of the adversity the book (and I) have faced since January. It is only because of the fans of BD and your enthusiasm for your friends to read the story that this was possible, and for that, I thank you so very much. Another reason I’m shocked is because I am one of three self-published authors enjoying spots on the NYT. THREE. This was unheard not too long ago. It’s been a long road, and I am thrilled to be among the few self-published authors who’ve experienced this accomplishment.
In other news, Eden was released and debuted at #10 on Amazon’s Action & Adventure category, and #200 overall. An amazing introduction, and I am so excited about the overwhelmingly positive reviews. The general consensus is that readers are very satisfied with the way the Providence series wrapped up, and that is music to the ears of any writer!
Something you might not know: Requiem is now available in paperback from Amazon! Providence hit a few snags concerning the cover, but that issue should be remedied any day, and then the first book of the series will also be in paperback and on sale! You can still order signed copies from the website (click on the BOOKS tab, and then on the Providence or Requiem covers to find the purchase button), but don’t wait too long, because once Providence is up on Amazon, the purchase buttons on the site will be removed and that is your last chance to procure signed copies!
I’ve had many readers ask about signed books. As many of you know, our family expects a new addition in the fall, and I have decided to put all signings on hold. Signings during the holidays were being considered, but I’ve decided that having a newborn and trying to keep a signing schedule will not be feasible for my family. I will consider a new signing schedule in the spring of 2013, but not earlier. I’ve also had some readers ask about mailing me books to sign. I will allow readers to do this once I appropriate a post office box, as I’ve deemed it unsafe to list my home address for return.
Summer is quickly approaching, and I am looking forward to working (and hopefully finishing) Travis’ POV by fall. The cover and title reveal should be in the June or July, and will hopefully tide you over until the release. I will of course update you on my progress!
Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and a happy Mother’s Day!
